Port of Anzali is one of the coastal city of khazar sea and located in Guilan Province .Port of Anzali, the largest first north ports of Iran, is situated in border of Khazar sea and this port is known as Anzali in history.This is let consist of two parts of Anazali &Ghaziyan as result of atmospheric action and reaction and other natural factor.

Also there was built a waterway that the water of four rivers from the eats (susar Ruga ,Pir Bazar  Ruga,Rast –khane and nahang Ruga)and from the east (Shanbe –Bazar Ruga)is entered to sea via this canal .

Port of Anzali is located in coastal and plain-like zone on 49degree and 28minuts of longitude and 37 degree and 28 minutes of latitude and its height from sea surface is 26 meter.

According to statistics, civic population of Anzali is 110643 people on 1385. And its land menstruation is more than275 km² was 49, 31 km², so Anzali is piled up a lot in case of population among cities of Iran.

Port of Anzali is greatest coastal complex with 200 years coastal background and it is located is free zone limits.

Anzali has 11 wharfs since 1384 which 12 ships can load and off load simultaneously.

This wharf has capacity of 7 million ton and 150 billion investment with loading and offloading capacity of1500 ships in every year, and also service time.

Port of Anzali Is known as the most modern and well-equipped port of kazar sea border and because of its unique geographic situation and also as a sole port of free zone, limits make businessmen capitalists to have specific facilities which leads to raise of   potential &actual capability of this port.

Recent gradual developments of Anzali in case of completion and construction of infrastructures makes this port as a strategic port of kazar sea border.

This development includes construction of 6 new wharfs, newly –built of 5 old wharfs with 1567 meter length and capability of load and off load of 12 ships.

Simultaneously, increasing of land measurement from 24 hectares to 71 hectares, buying strategic land, sea and telegraphic facilities, Transferring of land and off load activities to 3 main terminals, attracting capitalists  in BOT manner to construct silo, construction of specific  highway just belong to the port ,setting of fuel transit way and finally using of modern technology.

These factors caused goods capacity to be raised from 2 million ton to 7 billion ton. And now Anzali can take delivery of 2 million ton fuel via its fuel terminal.

Also this port has 5 silo with capacity of 6000 ton which can do transition of Persian Gulf in every year.

Being Anzali in good situation of industrial commercial free port caused see-transportation with nabour countries to be increased and make it to produce &export more than ever.

This good situation comes in to existence out of importing of raw materials like steel &changing it to machinery and also supplying the raw material need by steel factories on the one hand and construction of fuel storage places in order to transition of fuel on the other hand.

Anzali is the most active &biggest port among importance because of its lactation in a way of north-south transit way, sout eastern Asian countries, Persian Gulf border, middleast Republics, Caucasia, Russia and Europe.
